Tom Lacy is a founding partner of Lacy & Snyder. Mr. Lacy focuses his practice on insurance coverage, antitrust, consumer class actions and business litigation. Prior to forming Lacy & Snyder LLP, he worked in the Litigation section at Kilpatrick Stockton LLP, specializing in litigating insurance coverage disputes, antitrust, and consumer class actions, as well as general commercial cases. Mr. Lacy's experience varies from billion dollar pollution suits to smaller first and third party coverage disputes.
Prior to law school, Mr. Lacy served in the United States Army from 1990 - 1994. He was commissioned as a Regular Army Second Lieutenant in Field Artillery, and obtained the rank of First Lieutenant. Mr. Lacy is a graduate of the Field Artillery Basic Course, the United States Army Airborne School and Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Warfare School (honor graduate).
Mr. Lacy received his BBA and JD from the University of Georgia. He is admitted before all Georgia state trial and appellate courts, the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Mr. Lacy currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Atlanta Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, is a member of the American Bar Association, and an at large member of the University of Georgia's Young Lawyers Alumni Committee.
While at UGA law school, Mr. Lacy was class President, was a member of the American Bar Association, and Hulsey-Kimbrell Moot Court Teams. As an undergraduate at UGA, he was the President and Rush Chairman of his fraternity, Chi Psi, and a member of the Scabbard and Blade military honors society. Mr. Lacy is also a past President of the Atlanta Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.
Locally, Mr. Lacy has been involved in his community by serving on the Development Authority of Peachtree City and completing Leadership Fayette. Mr. Lacy is currently a member of the Fayette County Bar Association.
